Kharmang Valley

Waterfalls and gorges along the Indus, east of Skardu

Kharmang Valley follows the Indus east of Skardu toward the Line of Control, a dramatic gorge country of waterfalls and terraced villages. The 60-metre Manthokha Waterfall is its signature sight, joined by lakes at Kachura’s quieter cousins and the old trade forts at Tolti and Parkutta. Few tourists reach this far, making it Baltistan at its most authentic.
