Ghizer Valley

Poplar-lined rivers to Ishkoman, Phander and Yasin

Ghizer is Gilgit-Baltistan’s western district, a chain of valleys along the Ghizer River: Gahkuch, Ishkoman, Phander with its mirror lake, and the dramatic Yasin Valley toward the Darkut Pass. Golden poplar rows, trout streams and polo festivals make it one of the region’s most serene road-trip destinations.
